In the beginning he seemed to be the most unlikely of rock stars, and it was for this reason that Meat Loaf suffered an incredible amount of abuse from many people who continually doubted his every move. Despite this, it would not be long until Meat Loaf stormed the world like a "Bat out of hell"........
Success immediately after Bat out of Hell for Meat personally was short lived with ever growing pressures from all around to recapture the same lightning in a follow up album . It wasn't happening. With the abandonment of his record company and colleagues turning to adversary's, along with mounting lawsuits - Meat was destroyed - financially and emotionally, with only his family, close friends and determination left to pull him through.
In the mid 80's Meat Loaf made a fresh comeback sponsored by a new record deal that would expire in 1987 leaving three albums which all sold well throughout Europe. Meat continued working, never once stopping to look upon the free fall spin that his career seemed to be in. With rumors beginning to surface that Meat was again working with Jim Steinman, the world held its breath.
Once again critics laughed and mocked, but as always Meat carried on, never letting anyone get him down, never falling when anyone tried to beat him. "Bat Out Of Hell II: Back Into Hell" was released and fans worldwide outvoted anyone who ever doubted the project - and they did so in a phenomenal mass. Number One in Twenty Five countries simultaneously and platinum within its first two weeks of release in the UK alone. "Bat Out Of Hell II" soared close behind its predecessor, "Bat Out Of Hell". Then followed "Welcome To The Neighbourhood", which in many respects climbed beyond anything else ever achieved. Both albums confirmed Meat Loaf's position back at the top, as one of the greatest Rock artists in the world.... and it is there that he will stay.

At the age of seventeen, Im from the younger generation of Meat Loaf fans, and although I only bought my first album in the summer of 94' - words can not express the ever growing respect I have for Meat Loaf. Not just Meat Loaf the rock star, but Meat Loaf the actor, and most of all to Meat Loaf who I have come to know as a close friend. And I simply say thank you very, very much.
